Chapter Meeting, Sat., September 20, 2025
Greetings, Compatriots!
Our fall quarterly meeting will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 10:00 a.m. in the Ohio County Public Library’s auditorium on the lower level.
Our invited guest speaker is Robert Kelly, vice president of the American Friends of Lafayette’s board of governors. His program will offer insights into General Marquis de Lafayette’s role in the Revolutionary War. This presentation is a continuation of our celebration of the 200th anniversary year of Lafayette’s Farewell Tour of the US and his visit to Wheeling.
As always your family members, prospective members and guests are welcome to attend.

NSSAR Central District Meeting, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1

Wheeling Chapter DAR Veterans Day Luncheon, Weds., Nov. 12
The Wheeling Chapter DAR extends an invitation to all Fort Henry Chapter members, family and potential members to attend their annual luncheon honoring veterans. The event will be held at Stratford Springs, 100 Kensington Drive, Wheeling beginning at 11:30.
Program: Gary Rider and Roseanna Dakan Keller will share veteran’s stories from their newly released Volume 15 of “Marshall County Patriots and Heroes” series.
Holiday Luncheon, Weds., Dec. 17
Our chapter is hosting the annual Holiday Luncheon with the Wheeling Chapter DAR on Wednesday, December 17, at 11:30, in the White Palace’s first floor event room at Wheeling Park.
Our guest speaker is Olivia Jones, Ph.D., Lead Curator, Grave Creek Archeological Complex, who will speak about “The Collections and Research at the Grave Creek Complex.” Cost: $30 per person.
